felt?

My first felting experiment…hmmm…needs work.  I can see how this might become addictive, though.  You can just keep throwing stuff on it and see what happens.  I don’t think that you can take something off if you change your mind, though.  Not a big deal, as I don’t expect this to be on the cover of any magazine…ever.

Ooo, up close I wasn’t so sure but seeing the whole picture, or felted item, I LOVE it! How cool to see you translated into textiles.

Elizabeth, I love the combination of stitching, felt, and collagd elements. Again, Kandinsky, the Russian constructivists, and, naturally , the Bauhaus, Moholy-Nagy. Your aesthetic, so modernist! And remember, at the Bauhaus, no distinction was made between fine art and craft- however, women weren’t allowed to study architectue!!!! Think about that…keep going, frame this piece, really, and keep going! You are an inspiration.

Thanks for all of the kind thoughts! I’m incorporating this piece into a larger piece, with similar panels. I’m just trying to think about how I want to assemble them…
